Dr Sara J. Wolfson is a Senior Lecturer in Early Modern History at Canterbury Christ Church University and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. In November 2016, she received the Times Higher Education Most Innovative Teacher of the Year Award. Her research interests chiefly concern the female court and household of Queen Henrietta Maria, above all the political, social and religious roles that Caroline court women played in the period 1625-1669. She has previously held positions in knowledge exchange, research and enterprise and volunteered within the academic publishing industry. Sara’s experience within and outside of academia, means that she is in a great position to offer advice on gaining an academic or professional career.
