Sana started her PhD in March 2016, follow her vlogs for tips on being a distant learner as well as being a parent while studying for a PhD! In week 4 Sana visits the University of Leicester and enters a PhD Thesis Competition in the first month of her PhD. She also reflects on the first month of her PhD.

Sana Rahim started her PhD in International Relations and Politics at the University of Leicester as a distant learning student in March 2016. Prior to her PhD, Sana completed a Masters in International Relations and Politics. Her thesis looks at the Western Security Discourse and Nuclear Weapons with particular focus on the experience of Pakistani Nuclear Physicists and Scholars. She has two young boys Rayaan and Imaad who accompany her on her journey.
