St. George's, University of London Employer Profile

St. George's, University of London
St George's, University of London is an independently governed constituent college of the Federal University of London. Founded over 250 years ago at Hyde Park Corner, adjacent to Buckingham Palace, we moved in the 1970's to new purpose-built facilities in Tooting south-west London (a simple and quick tube-ride to the centre of the Capital). This was to enable us to provide effectively for the many people who live in the south-west sector of London and to provide a strong "clinical base" for our teaching and research.

St George's mission is to promote by excellence in teaching, clinical practice and research the prevention, treatment and understanding of disease. In doing so we make special use of our opportunities to work closely with the National Health Service and of the interdisciplinary opportunities that we have. Scientists and medical students, doctors, nurses, psychologists, midwives, physiotherapists, radiographers and administrators are all important members of the St George's family.
