Working at the forefront of the government’s qualifications and skills reform agenda, we are creating an ever-more flexible and responsive qualifications system. Our challenges are hugely diverse, as are the programmes we undertake. Our key programmes include the further developing of the Diplomas, Functional Skills, Foundation Learning and revisions to GCSEs and A Levels.

You will design, lead and deliver a host of assessment-related research and evaluation programmes and provide expert advice on assessment-related matters. You will provide support to the developing work streams within our programmes and will ensure that research findings are robust and reported back to relevant stakeholders at all levels.

An experienced research professional with strong assessment expertise, communication and presentation skills, you will thrive in this role. You will know how to use the research techniques associated with the assessment of education and training, and you will understand assessment design principles. Comfortable managing people and projects, you also have a strong track record of research programme delivery.

As an influential government agency at the heart of the education system, we help learners across England achieve their full potential. We work collaboratively to improve and deliver assessments, review and reform qualifications and develop a curriculum for the 21st century – turning policy into practice and making change really effective. If we’re to break new ground, we need a diverse team in which everyone shares our approach. Ref: QCD00753

We offer an attractive range of benefits that includes 32.5 days leave, flexible working and Civil Service pension scheme.
