CIME (Creativity & Innovation in Micro-Enterprises) is a European funded project run through the University of Wales Lampeter and other partners in Wales and Ireland, which aims to stimulate creativity and innovation within micro-enterprises in South West Wales and South East Ireland.
We have an immediate opening for a Web Developer who has a strong creative as well as technical background to join our team in Lampeter.
Your role will be to work with staff across the partnership to develop an innovative and creative website that engages with all of the project stakeholders. While the work will include a substantial element of web-design and graphic work, the post- holder shall also be responsible for devising and delivering an on-line strategy whereby Web 2.0 technologies contribute to the overall aims of the CIME project. This is an exciting opportunity for the right web-developer to explore the latest developments in the social web and to harness their potential for business networking, creativity and innovation.
The Web Developer should have:
- Ability to work with Concrete 5 content managed system;
- High level proficiency with industry standard design tools such as Flash, Photoshop, Dream Weaver and Illustrator;
- Experience in devising and delivering innovative Web 2.0 and social networking strategies;
- Be willing to work with the CIME partners to generate material for the site, to aggregate content, maintain an on-line database and moderate discussion boards as required;
- Understanding of current design trends and the importance of branding;
- Ability to contribute own ideas and improve existing ones;
- Good command of written English & ideally Welsh.
