Marie Curie Experienced Researcher - Systems Immunology (m/f)


  • Carrying out research and participating in the activities of the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) Marie Curie Initial Training Network (QuanTI) funded by the European Union (EU), which involves five universities, seven research institutes and five industrial companies across Europe; within QuanTI, a new generation of quantitative immunologists are trained, who will be able to address challenges arising in systems immunology
  • Undertaking post-doctoral studies in systems biology (computational systems immunology) and being eligible to be appointed as an experienced researcher (m/f) in Germany
  • Extending an existing computational physiologically-based pharmacokinetic platform to systems immunology questions (especially simulation of T-cell migration and dynamics) in collaboration with partners from the Netherlands Cancer Institute and the University of Utrecht
  • Drive continuous improvement in methodology, processes and formats through own expertise and experience


  • Possession of a doctoral degree or several years of full-time equivalent research experience in the field of computational systems immunology
  • Research experience in accordance with the Marie Curie Initial Training Network conditions
  • At the time of recruitment by Bayer Technology Services GmbH, the researcher (m/f) must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Germany for more than twelve months in the three years immediately prior to the recruitment under the project
  • Curiosity and passion for research
  • Being open-minded and challenging the status quo
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken


This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months. You will be offered a salary plus allowances in line with the Marie Curie FP7 requirements for Experienced Researchers.
