Senior Researcher

The King’s Fund is a leading charity that helps to shape policy and transform services to improve health and social care in England.

£39,462 - £47,126 per annum

Fixed term for 2 years

Start date: As soon as possible, ideally by early November

Central London

We have a two year fixed term research post available immediately working on a large Department of Health funded research project with colleagues from The King’s Fund and Manchester Business School. You will work within our policy team, researching the quality of care in health care organisations and how external regulatory systems for inspecting and rating quality work.

You will be expected to contribute to this project as well as interact with colleagues who work across the wide range of areas that The King’s Fund policy team addresses. You will also be expected to communicate regularly with project colleagues at Manchester Business School, project funders, external project advisers and other stakeholders involved with the research.

This role requires excellent applied research and analysis skills, willingness and ability to focus on delivering a single dedicated project for an external funder, and excellent interpersonal skills.

You will have a postgraduate degree in health policy or a related discipline, and experience in applied quantitative and qualitative methods. Knowledge of regulation and performance measurement is desirable but not essential.
