Birmingham City Business School

As the second city Birmingham is a creative, entrepreneurial city, with an open, thriving business community. In particular, Birmingham has a reputation for welcoming the growth of Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups. Last year, it was named the UK’s entrepreneurial hotspot with over 18,000 new companies registering in the city during 2014 – more than any other region. It is now on course to be one of the most 50 competitive cities in the world by 2025 (Economist Intelligence Unit).

This makes our City Centre Campus the perfect place for Birmingham City University’s Business School- in our multi-million pound, purpose built centre of excellence in the heart of Birmingham’s Eastside development. Our Business School is truly international, recruiting students from over 80 countries and partnerships with a number of overseas universities, colleges and education providers. We currently have a large, growing workforce and 3,300 students working and studying within three schools:

  • Department of Management, Human Resources and Enterprise
  • Department of Accountancy and Finance
  • Department of Strategy, Marketing and Economics

After substantial investment and growth over the last year, we are in our next phase of development by continuing to invest in building our profile as a UK Top 20 School in creating impact on business and society with world leading research.

If you are looking to bring your research and grow it into a centre of excellence and make a real impact on a department, school and university, alongside an expanding Birmingham, please see one of our new and exciting opportunities.
