The Institut Teknologi Brunei (ITB) is an institution of higher learning in Brunei Darussalam, and was recently upgraded to a University offering degree and Higher National Diploma programmes in Engineering, Business and ICT.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Lecturer
Minimum of a postgraduate Masters level or an equivalent professional qualification. Preference will be given to a candidate with PhD in their respective field.
2. Senior Lecturer
Normally a PhD with at least 5 years relevant academic experience in higher education.
3. Associate Professor
Hold a PhD with at least 5 years relevant academic experience and a proven record in teaching, research and administration in higher education.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
1. The appointment will be on a permanent basis for citizens of Brunei Darussalam. For non-citizens, appointment will be by contract for a period of three years which is renewable subject to mutual agreement.
2. Basic annual salary range is as follows:-
Lecturer (UB1 EB2 or UB2) : B$ 33,720 - B$ 50,880
Senior Lecturer (UB3) : B$ 55,200 - B$ 62,400
Associate Professor (UB4) : B$ 64,800 (non-incremental)
3. a) Bonus [1 month salary for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, ½ month salary for Associate Professor] after each 12 months of satisfactory service.
b) Gratuity [25% of last drawn basic monthly salary x 36 months at the end of contract].
4. Other benefits:
a) Education allowance and children's concession passage.
b) Subsidised housing [staff contribute B$130 per month].
c) Free medical and dental services at government hospitals.
d) Interest-free car loan, up to $15,000.
e) Generous leave entitlement.
f) Passage and removal allowance.
g) At present there is no personal income tax in Brunei Darussalam.
