This significant investment in new academic appointments reflects our commitment to delivering an exceptional higher education experience for our students, alongside conducting research and knowledge transfer activities that deliver tangible benefits for individuals, organisations, communities and society more generally.

This is an exciting time to join the University; not only are we celebrating our 25th anniversary (though our origins date back to 1823 and the foundation of the Liverpool Mechanics’ and Apprentices’ Library and Institute) but we have recently launched our 2017-2022 Strategic Plan, which renews our commitment to working as a pioneering modern civic university.

The Strategic Plan builds upon our recognised success in the 2017 National Student Survey, TEF, QAA Higher Education Review and REF2014 as well as ongoing investments in digital learning technologies, the development of a new student-focussed campus and the continued expansion of our international operations.

We are rightly proud of our growing reputation, both in the UK and internationally, for delivering the highest quality, transformational teaching and learning experiences, informed by our credible and internationally-recognised research, our links with employers, and other key partners in the UK and overseas.

We are a University where diversity is valued; endeavour is supported and achievement is celebrated. By applying to work with us, you will have the opportunity to join our open and enthusiastic academic community, access the latest teaching and research facilities and advance your career with support from our dedicated Teaching and Learning Academy and Leadership and Development Foundation.
