About Nanjing Agricultural University
Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) is a national key university under the direct jurisdiction of the Chinese Ministry of Education, with strengths in agriculture and life sciences. It is a “211 Project” university and one supported by the “Strength Discipline Innovation Platform” Program of the “985 Project”. It is a multi-disciplinary institution, covering disciplines of agriculture, science, economics, management, engineering, arts and law. Derived from the merger of the Colleges of Agriculture of Jinling University and the National Central University, NAU has developed over its 110-year course into a multi-disciplinary, research-oriented, and open university with unique features.
The university has its main campus located at the foot of Zhongshan Mountain which is like a dragon curling in the eastern suburb of Nanjing, while the Stone city in the west takes the shape of a crouching tiger. Endowed with pleasant environment and well-developed facilities, Nanjing is an ideal place for living and scholarly learning. With an aim to build into a world-class agricultural university, the university puts special emphasis on the recruitment and retention of talents, in order to upgrade the level of teaching and research.
