Investing in Science and Engineering Excellence
Newcastle University is embarking on a major programme of investment to enhance our world-class expertise in science and engineering. As part of this, we are seeking talented scientists and engineers to join our internationally-leading Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering and help us deliver research that will address the major global challenges facing society as well as providing an outstanding student experience.
We pride ourselves in bringing together and nurturing the most talented academics from around the globe to tackle the world’s most pressing challenges in a vibrant and multi-disciplinary environment, where academic thinking is enriched by the breadth of our academic portfolio and extensive opportunities for collaboration with exceptional people are developed.
Newcastle is a university strongly rooted in our city and region and recognised as a driving force for economic and cultural regeneration in the North East of England. Through our partnership with Newcastle City Council, the Faculty is leading on the delivery of Science Central – a £350m flagship project to create a global centre for urban innovation and a test-bed for sustainable technologies.
We are unwavering in our commitment to the ethos of “Excellence with a Purpose”. We embrace diversity as a core institutional value, and have a thriving international community at our main Newcastle campus and in our branch campuses in London, Malaysia and Singapore. We are the proud recipients of an institutional silver Athena SWAN award demonstrating our achievements and ongoing commitment to achieving gender equality. We value diversity at Newcastle University and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
To help us realise our ambitions, we are seeking exceptional people to nurture the next generation of innovators and undertake world-leading research in science, agriculture and engineering to meet new challenges in a rapidly changing world.
