Investing in the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences

Queen Mary, University of London is one of the largest colleges in the University of London and among the UK's leading research-focused universities. We have made a strategic commitment to world-class research and teaching, and in recognition of our excellence in these areas, we will join the Russell Group of leading UK universities in August. Following the RAE 2008, we were ranked 11th in the UK for the quality of our research by The Guardian and have ambitions to improve on this in the future. As part of this strategy, the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences is embarking on a five-year programme of recruitment to invest in the acknowledged strengths of the School and to strengthen its areas of internationally competitive activity. The School’s work extends from chemistry, through all aspects of biology to psychology. We have strong links with other Schools within the Faculty of Science and Engineering as well as with Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. We are looking to recruit ambitious and outstanding scientists, who are able to further enhance our recognised strengths, in positions at all levels, in all four divisions of the School.
