The School of Management’s mission is to drive forward the global economy by delivering world-leading research and educational programmes. We are actively engaged in world leading research - journals in which faculty have published include: the American Economic Review; Economic Journal; European Journal of Finance; International Review of Financial Analysis; Journal of Applied Econometrics; Journal of Banking and Finance; Journal of Forecasting; Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money; Journal of Money, Credit and Banking; Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, and many others.

In REF2014 the research profile of the School at the 4* (world leading)/3* (internationally excellent) level was Outputs (64%), Impact (90%) and Environment (88%). This placed us in the Top 30 of Business Schools submitted to the Business and Management Studies Panel.

Our research is highly impactful - our faculty regularly undertake industrial projects for local, national and regional government, the NHS and a range of private sector organisations - from local micro-businesses to world leading organisations such as Tesco or Toyota.

We offer a range of taught undergraduate programmes. The School represents a range of academic disciplines, including business management, marketing and strategy, accounting and finance, operations management (including supply chain management and information systems), entrepreneurship, human resource management, organisational studies and economics.

In addition, we house many leading research centres, including The Hawkes Centre for Empirical Finance, The Centre for Responsible Organisations and Innovation, The Welsh Economy Labour Market Evaluation Centre, The Emerging Markets Research Centre, Swansea i-lab (innovation lab), The Centre for People and Organisation, and The Centre for Lean Enterprise, Application and Research.

In 2015, the School of Management moved to a new custom built facility on the Swansea University £450million Bay Campus (representing one of the largest ever investments by a UK university in new facilities). As we undertake a significant expansion of the School, we are currently seeking academics to join us as we pursue this vision.
