The University of Exeter is a Russell Group University in the top one per cent of institutions globally. In the last few years the University has invested strategically to deliver more than £350 million worth of new facilities with plans for further significant investment of around £100 million over the next five years.
The Graduate School of Education performed strongly in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework in which it was ranked 8th overall in the UK for world-leading research, equal first in terms of research environment (4* plus 3*) and second in terms of 4* research outputs. The School also has a large number of doctoral and Masters level students from all over the world and a highly-regarded Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) currently rated as the third best Higher Education PGCE in England by the ‘Good Teacher Training Guide’.
We are now seeking to appoint to four new academic posts to strengthen further our research and education expertise and international profile. We have two opportunities at Professor or Associate Professor level and two positions at Lecturer level.
These full time posts are all available from 1 September 2016 in the Graduate School of Education within the College of Social Sciences and International Studies.
These opportunities are within the specialisms of:
- Special Education Needs and Inclusive Education (in the School’s Centre for Special Educational Needs and Disability);
- Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), in the School’s Language and Education Network;
- Science Education (in the School’s Centre for Science, Technology and Mathematics Education).
