ABOUT THE ROLES

The School of Biological Sciences at Reading has grown substantially in strength over the past five years as we seek to build on our international reputation for research and teaching. Our 2014 REF profile showed that 82% of our research was rated as world-leading and internationally excellent. To sustain this growth, we are recruiting nine new academic members of staff to be part of the transformation of our core research themes. Our growth will not stop here. We expect to recruit further research groups when we move to our new £50million building and facilities, planned to open in 2018.

The School values inclusivity and encourages applications from women and other under-represented groups. Our Vision, Mission and Values statements are available here: http://www.reading.ac.uk/biologicalsciences/about/biosci-vmvs.aspx

ABOUT YOU

Successful applicants will have a proven and substantial record of research publication. You will bring the skills and experience to develop successful research collaborations, contribute to the research and impact of the School and will be able to secure competitive, external research funding.
