Interdisciplinary academic appointments at the
Centre for Education Studies
University of Warwick
Education research at the University of Warwick is an interdisciplinary and cross-departmental venture. Researchers from at least six departments contributed to the Education Submission to the 2014 Research Excellence Framework. That exercise ranks Warwick as 3rd for Education in the UK when results are weighted by research intensity, with 76 per cent of the submission regarded as ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’ in terms of originality, significance and rigour.
The Centre for Education Studies (CES) forms a central pillar in the University’s ongoing commitment to interdisciplinarity, being a coordinating hub of educational research and teaching that brings together staff and students from all four faculties of the University. As part of this coordinating role, CES is investing in six new academic posts for the 2015/16 academic year to catalyse interdisciplinary research and teaching in Education Studies at the University of Warwick.
