The Centre of African Studies in Edinburgh is world renowned for the study of Africa, and involves academics from across the University in postgraduate supervision, in its weekly seminars and in conferences, workshops and research project. We have a world-class academic staff from many disciplines, and expertise in a large number of topics and regions of Africa.

New awards available for the MSc in Africa and International Development

Two full scholarships for applicants from developing countries and two partial scholarships for UK/EU applicants are now available for students studying development in Edinburgh University. These new scholarships have been offered by the Global Development Academy, the University of Edinburgh.

Each full scholarship will cover the overseas rate of tuition fee, a maintenance allowance of £10,000 and return flights. Each partial scholarship will cover the UK/EU rate of tuition fee only. Students who applied for the MSc in Africa and International Development are eligible for this scheme. Applications are sought from people interested in researching the area of International Development, with a focus on Africa.

Deadline for applications is 31 May 2010.
