Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh is a research led institution specialising in high quality research that touches people’s everyday lives. We offer a wide range of programmes in the allied health professions and are at the forefront of research in these fields. This enables us to provide a strong, interdisciplinary environment in which to consider health issues from a broad perspective.
QMU is making funds available for up to 6 PhD studentships in our distinctive research areas. Successful applicants can look forward to:
- all fees waived for three years and support with living costs;
- membership of both a community of experienced academics and our Graduate School;
- training, support and dedicated supervision throughout your studies.
International applicants will also be considered for support with fees, through the Scottish Overseas Research Students Award Scheme.
Applications are invited for projects linked to our interdisciplinary research niches:
- Physical therapies
- Nutrition and metabolism in health and disease
- Speech and communications
- Social sciences and health
