Arthritis Research UK is offering these competitive fellowships to encourage clinicians into an academic research career in rheumatology or any related field (including general practice and orthopaedic surgery) concerned with the treatment of arthritis and related musculoskeletal diseases.
They are open to medical graduates (including orthopaedic surgeons), usually during speciality training, and aim to provide an opportunity for training in clinical and/or laboratory research techniques leading to a higher degree (usually a PhD).
Awards are normally for 3 years and are not renewable. Due to funding regulations, applicants must be based in the UK.
