Course Leader of the MEng in Chemical Engineering with Nuclear Technology

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (situated in the world-leading Faculty of Engineering) has recently launched an MEng in Chemical Engineering with Nuclear Technology and now seeks a Course Leader to develop this programme. Reporting to the Head of Department, the Course Leader will be responsible for promoting the course, increasing student numbers, maintaining and building relationships across various areas of cognate research and teaching in the Faculty, and developing world-leading research activity in relation to Nuclear Technology.

The appointee will be granted a substantive academic position (lecturer, senior lecturer, reader or professor) appropriate to his/her experience and accomplishments; the individual will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline (or have equivalent experience) with experience in research, teaching, programme development, administration and leadership commensurate to the level of the academic position under consideration. Salary will be competitive and negotiable dependent upon experience with an indicative range including the following:

  • Lecturer, £37,382 - £44,607 (with potential to progress to £50,186 per annum);
  • Senior Lecturer and Reader, £47,314 - £53,233 (with potential to progress to £61,689 per annum);
  • Professor - As appropriate to the Professorial pay band structure.
