Job Summary: The Student Recruitment and Admissions Service provides advice and information to prospective students, their parents, careers advisors and teachers, and University staff. The section is responsible for all recruitment activities relating to undergraduate, postgraduate and international students. The main function of the section is to work closely with all departments to achieve student recruitment targets for the University; develop relationships with prospective students and their influencers; and enhance the University’s international profile through academic and commercial links.
Based in the United States of America, the main purpose of the post is to contribute to the University’s international recruitment activities in North and South America with the aim of increasing the number of international students recruited to the University and improving conversion of applicants to registered students at undergraduate, postgraduate and study abroad level.
The International Officer will report directly to the Americas Manager and the Head of the International Office. Close liaison with prospective students, other administrative and academic departments within the University, University representatives overseas and key partner organisations will be required.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6 salary scale (£30,424 - £36,298 per annum) with placement according to qualifications and experience. Salary will be paid in US$.
