Entry level training position for recent undergraduates focused on rapid development of skills necessary to support scientific projects. Designed to be a rapid-pass-through level with rapid accumulation of skills and experience.

Job Responsibilities
Science
- Assists with site recruitment, site contracting and IRB submissions, site management, and site training.
- Assists with data collection, including traveling for one-on-one interviews and co-moderating focus groups.
- Drafts, reviews, and assists with reports, dossiers, protocols, etc. under supervision of more senior staff members.
- Assists with article extraction and searches for literature reviews under supervision of more senior staff members.
- Works with Quality Assurance to maintain electronic and paper study files, as well as other administrative duties.
Project Management
- Fulfils job responsibilities under supervision of more senior scientific staff members. None to limited client contact.
- None to very limited project-related travel (0 – 5% of the time).
Financial & Business Development
- No proposal writing requirement of this position, although individuals may choose to work on sections of selected proposals if interested.
OR Operations Support
- Conforming to SOPs and other MEDCO trainings
- Attends trainings for Outcomes Research-related tasks and skills
Minimum Education Level/Years of Experience
BA/BS and less than two years' experience (or equivalent thereof in outcomes research/or related field)
Computer programming or software skills required for position
Required: MS Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook; ability to use Access with interface provided
Optional: ATLAS.ti, EndNote, DataFax
Specific skills or knowledge required for position
- Understanding of basic research methods and statistics
- Ability to multitask (i.e handle several projects simultaneously)
- Sharp attention to detail
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Degree, interest, or experience in science or health-related fields preferred
- Scientific writing experience preferred
