Salary Grade 7 - £31,331 to £36,298 per annum (Pro Rata)
Post 1 – Full-time open ended contract
Post 2 – 0.8 FTE reducing to 0.6 FTE after the first year, open ended contract

In this role, you will provide outstanding customer focused research support to University researchers through each stage of the research grant and award process and play a key role in supporting the University’s strategic research objectives to grow and diversify research income from public sector and charitable funding bodies.
You will be responsible for the provision of specialist support to researchers from conception of a research idea by identifying suitable funders, advising on funder rules and maximising cost recovery on grant applications. To formally accept grants and negotiate award or contract terms and conditions, thereby protecting the financial, intellectual and reputational position of the University and its academic staff.
To manage applications and grants from a portfolio of academic departments and provide professional advice and pro-active solution-driven support to University researchers in accordance with funding body rules and University policies and procedures.
