Senior Admissions Officer

Anglia Ruskin University -Administrative

Closing Date - 9 May 2013

About Anglia Ruskin University:

Our vibrant, modern University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally and we have ambitious plans for our future. Our main campuses in the cities of Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough have been transformed with major capital investments. With an annual income of £163m, over 30,000 students and 2,000 staff, we are a major force for higher education in the East of England.

About the role:

We are keen to further improve our successful recruitment of UK/EU students and the provision of an outstanding Admissions service is a key part of our strategy in achieving this. Working closely with senior admissions and recruitment colleagues, in a busy, friendly and supportive environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the Cambridge UK/EU Admissions Office. You will lead and motivate the team, delegating responsibilities appropriately to ensure application processing is timely and efficient. This demanding, varied, customer focussed role will require you to interpret policy into effective practice as well as contributing to local and University strategy and policy, through proposals and recommendations specific to UK/EU Admissions.

With a degree and considerable previous experience in a similar role you must be able to organise and prioritise your own workload and work proactively and without direct supervision. With knowledge of both HE admission procedures and student recruitment selection processes, you will also be familiar with data protection requirements. You will be IT literate, with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, and have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.

Informal enquiries can be made to Pat Watson, Head of UK/EU Admissions, at pat.watson@anglia.ac.uk.

The interviews are expected to take place on 23 May 2013.

We value diversity at Anglia Ruskin University and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
