The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £32,375 to £39,132 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
The department is undergoing rapid expansion with many recent academic appointments and we require an Accounts Officer who will help to manage the considerable budgets of this large department.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the department of Physics and Astronomy with the creation of this new position of Accounts Officer at a time when new financial procedures are being introduced to the College systems. It is an opportunity to play a significant role in establishing cutting edge facilities for scientific research.
The post reports to the Departmental Manager and the post holder has responsibility for ensuring that all staff, students and visitors adhere to the safety regulations, in addition to managing the fabric of all relevant buildings.
The position is available immediately.
Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent and also have extensive experience of financial processes and regulations and a proven record of successful budget management. The successful candidate will be expected to have a high level of numeracy and excellent oral and written communication skills.
