Celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2014, the University of Essex is one of the UK's top ten research universities and is ranked twentieth in the THE Top 100 universities under 50 years old.
Created in 2008, Essex Business School has quickly established its reputation for excellence in research and education, ranked second for Accounting and Finance research in 2008 and is moving into a £21 million state of the art building in 2014 to support the next stage of the School’s development. Our commitment to business engagement has been consolidated by a £7 million investment in our Knowledge Gateway, 43 acres of parkland at our Colchester Campus created so that small businesses and blue chip companies can benefit from close links with our academic community, our research facilities and business development activities.
We now seek to appoint a Director of Essex Business School to succeed Professor Michael Sherer, the Founding Director, to lead a vibrant business school at a key moment in the School’s development. Applications are invited from candidates with academic credibility in a research-intensive environment as well as demonstrable leadership and management experience.
