English Listening and Speaking
The objectives for this course are to develop the students’ listening skills and to develop their communication skills in business settings. In terms of listening training, students are required to acquire skills like making inferences, note-taking, and summarizing. Efforts shall be made to enhance students’ oral skills under business settings by means of role play and interviews.
Advanced English
This integrated course aims to enrich the learners’ socio-cultural knowledge as well as to enhance the following abilities in the learners: (1) comprehension and analyses of the meaning of difficult concepts and complex syntactic structures, arguments, the structure of the discourse (development), and the style; (2) ability to appreciate and criticize; (3) the ability to make a consecutive speech on a topic for 5 minutes or longer, or to write on a topic with sufficient development of the theme, logical reasoning, correct and effective linguistic expression (coherence and cohesion).

Salary scales in RMB per month:
1) Salary
In order to attract more experienced and highly professional foreign experts to teach on GDUFS campus, the University made some new policies to substantially increase the available salary for these experts. Therefore, the University is now able to provide up-to RMB20, 000 of monthly salary to world-wide famous Professors that can be active participants in teaching and research in their specific field.
2) International Travel Subsidy
Besides a monthly salary, the University shall pay each foreign teacher a certain amount of international travel subsidy to basically cover a round trip (for 1-year contract) or a single trip (for a half-year contract) from abroad to Guangzhou. This subsidy will be divided into several parts based on the length of each teacher's contract and paid monthly by the University together with the teacher's monthly salary as a whole.
