Postdoctoral Researcher in Social Epidemiology

Grade 7: Salary in the range £29,541 - £31,331 p.a.
The Department of Sociology is seeking an enthusiastic quantitative researcher to work with Dr David Stuckler on his EU and ESRC funded projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of world-leading research programmes evaluating the effects of recession and austerity in North America and Europe at the University of Oxford.
The successful candidates will be working with Dr Stuckler to assess the epidemiology of macro-determinants of health, including social, economic, and political change. They will take responsibility for leading several analyses using secondary datasets. They will also be engaged in writing research proposals on related topics.
The post is full-time, on a fixed-term contract, commencing 1 July 2013 for 30 months.
