The Department of Psychology at BPP University College is seeking to appoint one subject matter expert to work on a freelance basis for the BSc (Hons) Psychology programme. The programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society and confers eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC). We also offer psychology as a minor for our BSc Business Studies with Psychology and our LLB Law with Psychology programmes.

We are seeking to appoint a subject matter expert with expertise in Qualitative Research Methods to initially work on a freelance basis to develop the module and join the department as a sessional/visiting lecturer in September 2013.  Duties for the module development will include preparation of pre-recorded lectures and weekly seminar activities. Teaching will include delivery of weekly seminars based on the pre-recorded lectures and marking.

Applicants should hold a PhD in psychology, teaching experience and should be able to contribute to and develop the School’s teaching and research portfolio. A background in health psychology, forensic psychology or organisational psychology is desirable.

Experience of using the virtual learning environment to aid module delivery is also desirable. Applicants should possess the broad range of skills needed to teach effectively and be part of a team.
