A Trial Manager is required to coordinate a randomised trial to investigate the effectiveness of different forms of advice in the management of distal arm pain. This trial is being led from Aberdeen but also involves four centres in the south of England. The successful candidate will be a dynamic person who will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the trial. They will be responsible for the development of data collection tools, the recruitment of patients and delivering all stages of the trial conduct including data management, statistical analysis and report generation.
Candidates should hold an honours degree in a scientific discipline and, ideally, a post-graduate qualification and/or experience in epidemiology, public health or a relevant subject. You should be highly motivated with excellent communication skills and the ability to work both as part of a team, and independently. Experience of basic quantitative data analysis and report writing would also be advantageous.
Salary will be £25,504 per annum on the Grade 5 salary scale.
As this post is funded by Arthritis Research UK it will be available until 2 January 2015.
