The Epidemiology Group, Division of Applied Health Sciences would like to appoint a Research Assistant to support in the administration of the British Society for Rheumatology Biologics Register in Ankylosing Spondylitis (BSRBR-AS).

The successful applicant will be highly motivated and experienced in working on large-scale epidemiological surveys and/or randomised controlled trials. In addition, candidates should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work both as part of a team, and independently.

Under the direction of the Study Coordinator, the post-holder will be responsible for quality assurance checks for selected study sites along with supporting the Support Study Coordinator with administrative tasks. The post-holders will liaise with collaborators at other Institutions and the British Society for Rheumatology. Time management and attention to detail are essential.

As this post is funded by the British Society for Rheumatology it will be offered for a period of 3 years.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 5 salary scale (£25,504 – £28,685 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
