“Photonics for Cardiac Screening”

The School of Medicine has activated the Proof of Concept project “Photonics for Cardiac Screening”, funded by Scottish Enterprise, to develop and successfully lead to business generation an instrument for in-field screening of cardiovascular disease. 

You will assist in the development of the medical aspects of this project, in direct collaboration with the engineering and knowledge transfer collaborators and the project leads. You will have responsibility for clinical trials and field testing and interact with the regulatory and business aspects relating to the instrumentation being developed.

After the project, it is anticipated that the post-holder will take an active role in the transfer of the project results to industrial implementation and success.

You will have a medical degree, most likely also MRCP or MRCGP or a degree in a related biomedical subject.
