This is an opportunity for a motivated and progressive senior academic to join the University of New England (UNE), one of Australia's most vibrant educational institutions.
The School of Health is one of five schools in the Faculty of The Professions and covers the study areas of: Nursing; Social Work; Ageing, Disability/ Community Services; Complementary and Allied Health; Counselling and Mental Health; and Health Management.
Reporting directly to the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty, the Head of School is responsible for academic leadership, direction and management of the School. S/he will manage all aspects of the School: teaching and research; student and staff welfare; change processes and governance; as well as engaging with community and professional networks.
The Head of School will be a highly successful leader in their field of nursing, social work, health management or other relevant discipline. S/he will have demonstrated abilities to build and unite interdisciplinary teams, manage resources and create a shared vision to develop and realise the potential of the School.
