Full Time The appointment will be on UCL Grade 8. The salary range will be £40,216 - £47,441 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
This post is for a senior report developer and Business Objects administrator who will provide a complete lifecycle support for Business Intelligence infrastructure. The duties for the post holder includes design, development, testing, support and maintenance of the BI implementation based on Business Objects and also to provide systems administration, universe and report development capability for Higher Education business reporting.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in at least 2-3 multiple full life cycles of Business Objects implementations; Experience of systems support & administration; Must have strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving abilities in a BO environment. To be part of both project and support teams. The person would initially take on core Business Objects support tasks – including system checks, installation of service and fixed packs and support report/universe development. They would also be required to assist in system upgrades.
Essential Technical Skills: SAP BO XI 3.1 report development using Deski; SAP BO XI 3.1 universe development using Designer; SAP BO User and Server Administration experience using CMC and CMS; SAP BO XI 3.1 (Enterprise Platform, Client Tools); Business Objects Enterprise (BOE) SDK; Windows Server 2003 / 2008; Writing Oracle SQL scripts and procedures/functions Desirable Technical Skills: SAP BO XI 3.1 report development using WebI; SQL Performance Tuning; SAP BO Analytics SAP Business Object Planner; SAP BO 4.0; MS-SQL Server Reporting Service and SQL server BMC Remedy (Action Request system); Experience of working in higher education; Breadth of experience across ETL and Data Cleansing technologies: Informatica, Oracle, Microsoft ETL. - again with depth of experience within one or more area.
