The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £32, 375 - £39, 132 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
UCL's new Arts and Sciences (BASc) degrees allow students to create their own bespoke programme, incorporating both arts and sciences specialisms alongside a modern foreign language and interdisciplinary Core courses.
The BASc will be entering its 2nd year in September 2013 and now requires additional administrative support for the operation and development of the international aspects of the undergraduate programme.
The International and Affiliates Officer will be responsible for the establishment and administration of all BASc Study Abroad Partnerships, outgoing BASc Year Abroad students and incoming affiliate students.
Specific duties include making initial contact with relevant partner institutions (both Erasmus and international) to set up exchange agreements for external programmes which match BASc pathway module combinations. The postholder will also manage and support BASc students while they are abroad as well as recruiting and supporting incoming affiliate students from our partner institutions.
You will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) and have solid relevant experience in an administrative environment and, preferably, prior experience in a UK university of international student recruitment and affairs. Experience of developing and managing external partner relationships is also desirable.
A confident self-starter with excellent communication skills, you will represent UCL to potential students and partner institutions. A team player, you will be able to demonstrate an ability to plan, find solutions and coordinate recruitment activities. Skills in IT are essential, as is the ability to work closely and productively with the academic community at all levels of seniority.
