Postdoctoral Researcher in Social Epidemiology (India)

Grade 7: Salary in the range £29,541 - £31,331 p.a.

The Department of Sociology is seeking an enthusiastic quantitative researcher to work with Dr David Stuckler on his ESRC- and Population Reference Bureau-funded project to evaluate the effects of food prices and markets on nutrition and reproductive health in India. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of world-leading research programmes in the political economy of global health at the University of Oxford.

The successful candidates will assess the causes and effects of recent policy choices in response to recessions and health risks. They will take responsibility for leading several quantitative analyses and will also be engaged in writing research proposals on related topics.

The post is full-time, on a fixed-term contract, commencing 1 July 2013 for 24 months.
