The Foundation for International Education (www.fie.org.uk) is a higher education organisation which provides academic studies, internships and student services for international undergraduate students in London, in partnership with over forty colleges and universities, mainly from the United States.
FIE is currently seeking qualified, enthusiastic and competent applicants for the following full-time, permanent position within the Academic and Experiential Education office.
Job Title: Assistant Manager, Experiential Education
Location: South Kensington, London, UK
Salary: £23,500 - £26,000 gross, per annum (depending on experience)
Preferred Start Date: June 2013
Job Summary: The Assistant Manager, Experiential Education is responsible for aspects of strategy and leadership of the office as well as identifying opportunities and organising internships for undergraduate study abroad students at organisations in a wide range of work sectors and industries in London. In addition to managing student placements, the position will serve as a leader within the team, providing innovative project management and deputising for the Experiential Education Manager when necessary.
We are looking for a professional individual with exceptional communication, leadership and organisational skills. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-orientated, have a positive attitude and an ability to work well under pressure. The individual should possess the confidence and ability to research and approach organisations in London, as well as maintain relationships with current placement sites. S/he must also have excellent administration skills as well as an ability to think creatively and show initiative.

Kindly note that, based on the UKBA Codes of Practice for Skilled Workers – SOC Codes – 06/04/2013, this position most closely matches an SOC 2010 code skilled to NQF level 4. As a result, this position does not meet the criteria for sponsorship of non-EEA citizens under Tier 2 of the points-based system, unless the applicant is currently in the UK under Tier 2, and has been in Tier 2 since before the changes made on 14 June 2012 came into force, or the applicant is currently in the UK under an old immigration category that was replaced by Tier 2, such as work permit holders.
