£15,218 to £17,630 per annum pro rata to £31,331 to £36,298 per annum, together with USS pension benefits if required.

Higher Education (HE) and Further Education (FE) Institutions within South West Wales, supported by the Regional Learning Partnership (RLP), have recently been awarded £99K by HEFCW as a result of a successful one year proposal for a shared staff development project between all HEIs and FE Colleges in the Region. 

The post (up to 17 hours per week) will be a peripatetic post that will operate across the regional HE/FE Partnership. The post holder will be responsible for developing and project managing relationships in the area of staff development and for developing and implementing a management development strategy in line with the South West Wales Regional Higher Education Strategy. In support of this, the post holder will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering training solutions through the establishment of a broad shared programme of training to capitalise on existing strengths and to develop new, mutually supportive, initiatives.

The post holder will need to have a track record of staff development experience and of designing and implementing effective management development and training programmes in a large organisation. In addition, the post holder will also require excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills and should be a member of CIPD/CTD or hold a higher degree or equivalent qualification / experience.  An interest in, and an understanding of, management, training and staff development issues affecting Higher Education is also essential.
