Hours: 0.5 FTE

Salary: £17,111.50 per annum based on the full-time rate of £34,223 per annum

The School of Management and Social Sciences is a rapidly expanding School which offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The School currently offers undergraduate programmes in Education and Social Science, Law, Management Studies, Psychology, Tourism, Tourism Management and Geography, a foundation degree in Psychology and Counselling as well as post graduate qualifications in Charity Management, International Tourism Development, Managing for Sustainability and International Business Practice.

The School now seeks to appoint a lecturer who can make a substantial contribution to our undergraduate degree programme in Business Law and to the qualifying LLB Law degree which began in September 2012.

You will be required to teach Sports Law, Criminal Justice and contribute to the delivery of the Foundations of Legal Knowledge and other optional modules within your expertise. In addition the successful applicant will be asked to develop initiatives in research within law and cognate areas within the School.

You will hold a first degree and a PhD in the field of law or related area. You will be able to contribute to the research culture within both the School and the University College, and provide subject and pedagogic expertise to enhance and support curriculum development. You must also be committed to the continuing enhancement of the student experience.
