£30,000 - £35,000 per annum, full time including anti-social hours (37.5 hrs)

The role:
The post-holder will support the Partnerships and Recruitment Manager in developing and implementing a Partnerships and Recruitment strategy for Kaplan Holborn College (all students) and Kaplan Financial (full time students)  with the objective of delivering increased and consistent student numbers to the professional, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered. 

In addition the Senior Partnerships and Recruitment Officer will assume responsibility for all recruitment activity within two of three defined regions (UK/EU/International). The role holder will receive direct support from dedicated Partnerships and Recruitment Officers whom they will line manage. 

The nature of the role means that the post-holder will be expected to undertake extensive travel throughout the year.

  • Support the Partnerships and Recruitment Manager to develop, document and implement region specific Partnerships and Recruitment strategy to increase student numbers across all programmes. 
  • As directed, within the agreed regions of responsibility forge relationships with potential partners such as Schools/ Colleges/Government agencies/Universities/ Embassies
  • Evaluate and respond to approaches from prospective partners, assisting in producing contracts and agreements where successful partnerships are formed. Performing the role of relationship/account manager for on-going partnerships to ensure their successful continuation
  • Monitor and report back on competitor activity within the regions of responsibility.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislation and regulation in all relevant markets that may affect current or future partnership agreements.

Sample essential skills and experience (please refer to the full job description for the complete list)

  • Considerable experience in relevant roles within Higher Education or Professional Qualification provision
  • Experience building relationships within a student recruitment environment (e.g. agents, Erasmus agreements, exchange programmes)
  • A skilled negotiator, able to engage and influence key decision makers
  • Knowledge of the key factors affecting student recruitment in the current climate
  • Ability to produce detailed management information reports
  • Experience of budget management
  • Experience in leading small teams
  • Able to travel at short notice
  • Ability to work in appropriate ways across a diverse range of cultural environments
  • High degree of commitment and self-motivation
