Farnham

Our International department is seeking to appoint experienced EAP tutors to join our international pre-sessional course delivery team from June to early September 2013. You will have CELTA/DELTA or equivalent qualification and experience of recent full-time EFL teaching.

Job Description Qualified (TEFL Diploma or MA TEFL/Applied Linguistics), experienced EAP Tutors are required for the summer Pre-sessional English language and study skills course, to teach up to 21 contact hours per week with all materials provided. Employment period includes 10 days of paid materials development prior to course start, briefing and placement testing of students.

You will have:

  • ability to teach EAP to a range of FE, UG and PG students with varying English levels (from IELTS 4.5-7.0), of different nationalities, particularly from Asia and Middle East
  • relevant  EAP experience of preparing students for UK higher education
  • ability to work within a team; you will also be reliable, flexible, responsible, organized and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • experience in pastoral support skills

Teaching EAP to students progressing to art and design as well as management related degrees would be an advantage. Please indicate any relevant experience you may have in this.
