Library Services at Glasgow Caledonian University is looking to appoint an Academic Liaison Librarian.

The role holder will have responsibility for academic liaison within designated subject areas including subject-based enquiry work, stock acquisition, collection and management and development so that print and electronic resources meet current and future teaching, learning and research needs of the departments, relegation, transfer and disposal of material in line with the Library’s Collections Policy.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and/or the ability to demonstrate substantial relevant experience in an academic or equivalent library service, must be confident in teaching large and small groups and experienced at presenting and have a clear understanding of the importance of Information and Digital Literacy. Further essential requirements for this role include the ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as being able to demonstrate good team player skills with a strong commitment to developing and co-operating with others.
