The Role
We are seeking to appoint a Scholarship and Foreign Loans Administrator to liaise with external agents as well as other professional services and Schools of the University in the provision of financial support via scholarships, bursaries and loans to students. As a member of the SFLU, the post-holder will undertake a range of organisational and administrative duties in the delivery of the financial support schemes the University attracts and disseminates.

The post-holder will identify new schemes, developments and strategies for advancing Kent’s position both in the attraction of funding, the attraction of students and the use of funds in fulfilment of the University’s mission.

The Person
You will hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with an understanding of the current issues surrounding postgraduate students, especially funding and recruitment. With experience of preparing management reports and data analysis of trends you will have proven office experience in a busy environment. You will be computer literate; proficiency in Word for Windows, Excel and Access; familiarity with and ability to operate databases; and knowledge of web authoring. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, along with the ability to produce concise and accessible communication while paying close attention to detail. You will have a high level of organisational ability, accuracy and integrity with the ability to adapt, manage and innovate technological changes in the office environment.

The Department
Enrolment Management Services (EMS) is comprised of the Recruitment and Admissions Office, the Partnership Development Office, the Publishing Office and the Scholarships and Foreign Loans Office, and has within its purview all University recruitment, promotional and applicant communications, UK and EU recruitment, outreach and regional partnership development, scholarship and student financial support schemes and admissions activities. The constituent Offices of EMS work together and in conjunction with the academic Schools and Faculties to deliver the full range of services in attracting, recruiting, admitting and enrolling a talented and diverse student body to the University in fulfilment of its mission and objectives.
