As part of our newly redesigned IT Services you will play a crucial role in our forward thinking, customer focused environment.   

The role As part of our new Service Management Division, you will be required to support the IT Catalogue Manager in purchasing and distributing information technology hardware and software supplies as required by the University. You will also support the functions of sourcing and selecting vendors, electronic record keeping (e.g e-Procurement) and account management for all selected vendors. You will provide purchasing support to all the University’s internal customers and, by leveraging competitive advantage with all of the University’s selected suppliers, at the same time ensure that the University achieves best value for money.

Your profile With a demonstrable record of relevant experience in a similar environment; you have successful experience working in IT procurement. With demonstrable understanding of a wide range of hardware and software products you hold successful experience of asset management, support of contract agreements and negotiations. Knowledge of customer and supplier relationship management is key to the role. You must possess excellent analytical skills to gather market and current performance intelligence in the area of information technology, and be able to work as part of a team or on your own in a very busy IT environment. The ability to communicate ideas clearly is also essential.
