Part Time Lecturer in Animal Science

Salary Range: £29,350 - £34,035 per annum( pro rata)
Location: Ayr Campus
Scotland’s Rural College – SRUC was formed on 1 October 2012 by the merger of Barony, Elmwood and Oatridge Colleges and SAC (Scottish Agricultural College).

The successful candidate will support the delivery of our BSc (Hons) and Higher National courses in Applied Biosciences and Agriculture. We require an animal scientist with particular expertise in livestock nutrition, research skills and data analysis, who also has strong communication skills and the ability to inspire students.
This is a permanent, part-time post amounting to 0.75 of full-time employment.
The successful applicant should have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Animal Science or a related subject, and preferably have a postgraduate degree. Experience of teaching, particularly in a higher education setting and/or a teaching qualification would be desirable.
