A research assistant is required to start work from the 1 st of April, or as soon as possible thereafter. The work involves the following: (i) production of a scoping study of in situ recovery of resources from waste repositories (ii) to coordinate consortium building activities between academia and industry and (iii) assist in the production of a research funding bid. This work will form the basis of a large bid for research funding from the Natural Environment Research Council as part of their resource recovery from waste programme.
The RA will be employed within the School of Engineering at Cardiff University. The technical aspect of the RA’s work will focus on (bio)geochemical interactions within wastes and natural materials.
This post is available from 1 April 2013, or as soon as possible thereafter, and is fixed term until 30 September 2013.
Salary: £24,766 - £28,685 per annum (Grade 5).
