Engineering Technician

Your main responsibilities will be to assist in providing an effective and efficient Technical support and supervision service as part of a team working for Edinburgh Napier University’s School of Engineering and Built Environment, in the areas of Mechanical Engineering and Product Design Engineering.
You will be involved in the manufacture and machining of artefacts and components in a variety of materials including metals and plastics, in the setup, calibration and construction of apparatus and test rigs for student activity, and potentially in research and commercial activity for associated projects.

Extensive relevant experience in Engineering disciplines is essential as is the ability to work on your own initiative and with discretion. In addition, you must display strong attention to detail, a good sense of customer focus and sound interpersonal skills.
