About the Post
We are now implementing ambitious plans to expand our research and knowledge exchange activities. As part of this commitment, we are seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager, Science and Engineering. The post-holder will support Queen Mary’s academic community in engaging with industry and other third sector organisations - identifying partnering opportunities, producing competitive research bids, and advising on opportunities to develop research and knowledge exchange activities.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisation skills. You will probably have a higher degree, extensive networking experience and the ability to work effectively across a broad range of disciplines. Experience of working at the interface of the public and private sectors is essential, and a working understanding of the research funding landscape and policy making is desirable. You will have experience of applying to UK research funding sources and you will have an active and creative approach to resourcing academic research and innovation.
Remuneration & Benefits
The post is full time and permanent, based at our Mile End campus. The starting salary will be up to £42,601 per annum inclusive of London Allowance and a market supplement.

Additional Information
