The School of Engineering and Computing is one of the largest and most successful schools in the College. Due to the promotion of the postholder we are looking to recruit someone who has the passion, experience and drive to take our highly successful provision forward to even greater success.

The role:
You will provide strategic leadership and vision to managers across the School to ensure the College delivers its strategic aims and provide high
quality provision in all areas of Engineering and Computing.

In this role you will:
• Provide academic and strategic leadership to develop and meet industry needs.
• Lead and be an example of high quality learning and teaching within the School.
• Establish an effective management team within the School which is responsible for the performance of staff, implementing improvement strategies, identifying opportunities and risks appropriately.
• Strive to ensure an outstanding experience for all.

You will:
• Possess a degree or equivalent professional qualification relevant to the academic area of the School.
• Have substantial experience of success management in the academic area in the School in further and/or higher education in the UK.
• Proven success in curriculum innovation and development to meet student/employer needs.
• Experience of successfully developing and managing academic teams of staff.
• Have the resilience and stamina to continue to grow and further improve this highly successful School.
